My Story

The journey of The Mesij started around five years ago with a simple yet powerful idea. I’m a voracious reader and a passionate researcher who noticed a recurring theme among most blogs: they were all pretty much the same. The articles were predictable, the topics redundant, and there was a distinct lack of diversity in content. I wanted something different – a blog that wasn’t afraid to tackle the risqué, the unusual, and the downright intriguing. Thus, The Mesij was born (phonetically spelling out “message” for that extra flair). The mission was clear: to create a space where real-life stories could be told, practical advice could be given, and readers could find content that was both interesting and useful.

I write like I talk—with warmth, wit, and way too many tabs open in my head
I’m raising neurodivergent kids while unmasking decades of my own
I believe emotional honesty is a superpower, not a weakness
I don’t do toxic positivity or 5am miracle routines
I started The Mesij to help people who feel too weird for the world but too wise to stay small

Neurodivergent Life Admin That Actually Works

The Mesij2 weeks ago2 days ago06 mins

I’m Not Disorganised, My Brain’s Just Full What Is Life Admin and Why Does It Break Our Brains? Life admin, the boring but necessary tasks that keep us functioning: bills, forms, appointments, cleaning, emails, laundry, birthday cards. For the neurotypical brain, it’s a mild inconvenience. For the neurodivergent brain, it can feel like drowning in…

15 Ways Humans Love to Explain Things

The Mesij2 weeks ago2 days ago08 mins

Ever asked someone a simple question and received a three-part novel in return? Or found yourself nodding politely while someone explained something you literally teach for a living? Welcome to the wonderful (and sometimes wildly annoying) world of explaining – where clarity meets comedy, and intention often misses the mark by a mile. Whether it’s…

The Truth About Multicultural Communication

The Mesij4 weeks ago2 weeks ago09 mins

Let’s talk about something that’s become as essential as sunscreen in Greece: multicultural communication – or as it’s often called in professional circles, cross-cultural communication skills.  With more people packing up and moving across borders,  whether chasing sunshine, cheaper rents, or a slower pace of life – it’s time we faced a vital truth: Just…

Ghosting Hurts—But It’s Not About You

The Mesij1 month ago2 weeks ago09 mins

Let’s talk about ghosting. Because apparently, it’s 2025’s preferred form of communication, silence. Whether it’s in love, friendship, or business, we’ve all had that one person go full Houdini on us. One minute they’re replying with heart emojis, the next… tumbleweed. Now, let’s be clear: ghosting is not new. But the frequency with which it…

Tarot Isn’t the Devil’s Work nor Gospel

The Mesij1 month ago2 weeks ago09 mins

Let’s talk Tarot, yes, those little cards some folks clutch like rosary beads, while others recoil like you’ve summoned a demon just for mentioning them. Me? I’ve been dabbling for a decade or so. Ten years might not sound like a lifetime, but I’ve seen enough to know this: Tarot, like anything else, is a…

So You Want to Be an Entrepreneur? Hmm

The Mesij1 month ago2 weeks ago09 mins

People love to romanticise entrepreneurship like it’s a scented candle: light it up, breathe in the success, and boom, you’re rich, tanned, and sipping something expensive in Bali. Lovely image, but wildly inaccurate. Let me tell you the truth, from someone who’s been doing this dance for years—I’m talking about the cha-cha, the hustle, the…

Is Porn Making You Boring?

The Mesij1 month ago2 weeks ago18 mins

What Debbie Did (and Why It Mattered) Once upon a time, we had to work for our visual titillation. In my day, it was Debbie Does Dallas on a scratchy VHS, hidden in someone’s dad’s sock drawer. There was build-up, grainy quality, and a real sense of mystery. Fast forward to today, and porn is…

Semantic Abuse – The Wordplay Weapon

The Mesij1 month ago2 weeks ago15 mins

What is Semantic Abuse? Semantic abuse is like verbal origami, someone folds your words until they resemble something you never said. It’s a subtle manipulation tactic where meanings are twisted, your statements are rephrased inaccurately, and conversations become a game of distorted definitions. Unlike shouting matches, this happens quietly, in plain English, which makes it…

Great LinkedIn Lies And Hustle Highs

The Mesij2 months ago2 weeks ago17 mins

Let’s be honest, shall we? LinkedIn has turned into the office kitchen of the internet, a place where everyone stands around pretending they’re “just making a cup of tea” when really they’re showing off their new reusable mug that says “CEO of Mindset” while loudly quoting Simon Sinek like it’s gospel. You can’t scroll two…
