My Story

The journey of The Mesij started around five years ago with a simple yet powerful idea. I’m a voracious reader and a passionate researcher who noticed a recurring theme among most blogs: they were all pretty much the same. The articles were predictable, the topics redundant, and there was a distinct lack of diversity in content. I wanted something different – a blog that wasn’t afraid to tackle the risqué, the unusual, and the downright intriguing. Thus, The Mesij was born (phonetically spelling out “message” for that extra flair). The mission was clear: to create a space where real-life stories could be told, practical advice could be given, and readers could find content that was both interesting and useful.

I write like I talk—with warmth, wit, and way too many tabs open in my head
I’m raising neurodivergent kids while unmasking decades of my own
I believe emotional honesty is a superpower, not a weakness
I don’t do toxic positivity or 5am miracle routines
I started The Mesij to help people who feel too weird for the world but too wise to stay small

How To Stop Oversharing And Interrupting

The Mesij3 days ago3 days ago09 mins

Introduction Ever had to physically clamp your hand over your mouth to stop the words from tumbling out? Welcome to the inner circus of the neurodivergent brain, where thoughts gallop, opinions leap, and silence feels like betrayal. I get it. I’m that woman. I’ve sat in meetings, family dinners, and WhatsApp groups, desperate to throw…

What Even Is Neurodiversity? (Brilliant Brain?)

The Mesij4 days ago3 days ago010 mins

Once upon a time, if your brain didn’t work like the person sitting next to you, they called it a disorder and sent you to the quiet table. But the world has moved on. Neurodiversity is the idea that brain differences are natural, valuable, and not always problems to be fixed. Think of it like…

11 People To Dodge Like Your Energy Depends On It

The Mesij5 days ago5 days ago08 mins

Let’s talk about emotional vampires. No garlic or silver bullets needed—just some solid boundaries and a working sense of self-worth. These are the folks who sneak into your energy field, mess with your head, and call it friendship. Here’s the updated line-up of people I’ve learned (sometimes the hard way) to avoid. Wheelbarrow people These…

Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria: The Pain No One Sees

The Mesij5 days ago5 days ago08 mins

I once cried over an email. Not a breakup email. Not a redundancy notice. Just a colleague asking, “Can we chat later?” My brain translated that into: “You’ve messed up, and we need to talk about your incompetence.” Cue spiralling thoughts, a racing heart, and a sudden urge to delete my LinkedIn profile. If that…

So I Think I’m Neurodivergent… Now What?

The Mesij1 week ago1 day ago07 mins

It started with me Googling “Why do I hate phone calls but can write essays about my feelings?” And then, three hours later, I was deep in a Reddit thread where everyone seemed to have my brain. It was like being spotted in a crowd by a stranger who just gets you. No test. No…

15 Ways Humans Love to Explain Things

The Mesij1 week ago1 hour ago08 mins

Ever asked someone a simple question and received a three-part novel in return? Or found yourself nodding politely while someone explained something you literally teach for a living? Welcome to the wonderful (and sometimes wildly annoying) world of explaining – where clarity meets comedy, and intention often misses the mark by a mile. Whether it’s…

The Truth About The Horror Of Making Bad Choices

The Mesij2 months ago1 week ago07 mins

There was a time I dated someone who ticked every red flag box: He owned a snake (never a good start), believed hay fever was a government scam, and quoted controversial “thinkers” like they were gospel. Looking back, it’s obvious. But at the time, I convinced myself I was just being open-minded. Spoiler: it was…
